General Membership Meeting

President Bob Fankhauser called the May 1, 2022 meeting to order.

The minutes from the April 10, 2022 meeting were approved as read by Carolyn Clement.

Treasurer’s report was read by Nancy Beisler.  A motion was made by Dave Noaker and 2nd by Pat McPherson to accept the treasurers report, subject to audit.  Motion carried.   The books have been audited for the first quarter of 2022.

President Report:  Information for the Freedom Ride, the Sam Center Freedom Ride, and the Run to the Wall is posted on the website.

Vice-President Report:  Jim Smith.  We received thank you’s from The Sam Center, the Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy, and the Stark County VSC.

COB Report:

Guests: We welcomed guests Peggy Whitcomb, Rebecca Miller, Bob Barth, and Rob Starcher.

Scholarship Endowment:  Janet White informed us that our current balance is $73,741.02

 

Suicide Prevention & Military Families: Sara & Moe.  Sara spoke to us about Beats and Bikes, which is scheduled for July 30, 2022 at Centennial Plaza in downtown Canton.

 

Wellness Committee: Kevin:

Quarter Master: Tim Hess.

50/50:  Won by Carolyn Clement.  $70 will be deposited to events.

New Business

 

The Chair of Honor for Cuyahoga Falls High School has been ordered and will be presented at their opening game in September.

Out of the $500 allocated at the April meeting for trailer maintenance, a total of $109.93 has been spent.

A motion was made by Janet White and 2nd by JoAnn Suladie to allocate up to $5400 to have the trailer wrapped by My Gorilla Graphics.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Janet White and 2nd by Pat McPherson to spend $2000 to order 10,000 wristbands.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by JoAnn Suladie to allocate $300 from the marketing account to sponsor a racecar at Barberton Speedway.  Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before the chapter, a motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by Jesse Alvarez to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried.
