General Membership Meeting

President Bob Fankhauser called the February 6, 2022 meeting to order.

The minutes from the January 9, 2022 meeting were approved as read by Carolyn Clement.

Treasurer’s report was read by Nancy Beisler.  A motion was made by Judi Willgues and 2nd by Harold Murray to accept the treasurers report, subject to audit.  Motion carried.

 

President Report:

2022 dues of $40 are due by the March 6th meeting.

The application has been sent and parking passes requested for the Piston Power Show.

The April board and membership meetings have been changed to April 10th.

The cost for the Fidelity Bond thru State Farm is $119 per year.  This bond insures Bob Fankhauser,  Nancy Beisler, and Jim Smith up to $50,000.

Vice-President Report:  Jim Smith.  We received thank you cards from the Sam Center and Mid-Ohio Mopar.

COB Report:  Per Oppie, future board meeting will start at 11:00 instead of 10:30.

Committees

Social Events :  Contact Sandy Wilfong if you are interested in participating in the bowling social February 26th  from 1-3 at  Kolony Lanes in Wadsworth. Cost is $10 per person which includes shoes, pizza and a drink.

Reverse Raffle:  Darlene.  The reverse raffle will be held on April 30th.  There are 200 tickets to be sold at $25 each.  See Darlene to sign up to donate a basket or to work at the event.  The theme is Honoring Gold Star Families and Members who have passed.  A motion was made by Pam Murray and 2nd by Jesse Alvarez to advance Darlene $500 in seed money.  Motion carried.

Gun Bash : Harold Fields.  Tickets should be available at the March meeting.  We will have 600 main tickets to sell at $55 each.  We will also have 2-$10 side tickets, 500 tickets each.

50/50:  Won by Chuck Lang.  $21 will be deposited to events and $21 to the General Fund.

New Business

Vietnam War Veterans Day Run, Sunday, March 27th, 1:00pm -3:00pm, Washington High School in Massillon.

Run to the Wall, Saturday, July 16th, 9:00am – 5:00pm, Kent American Legion.

A motion was made by Paulette Pinczes and 2nd by Sue O’Connor to donate $250 to the VFW.  MC

A motion was made by Erik Szerokman and 2nd by Bill Petrak to donate $1000 to the Stark State Endowment Scholarship.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Moe Pelkey and 2nd by Jesse Alvarez to spend up to $250 for appreciation plaques.  Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before the chapter, a motion was made by Pam Murray and 2nd by Jim Sheets to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried.
