President Bob Fankhauser called the December 11, 2022 meeting to order.
The minutes from the November 6, 2022 meeting were approved as read by Carolyn Clement.
Treasurer’s report was read by Nancy Beisler. A motion was made by Dave Noaker and 2nd by Pat McPherson to accept the treasurers report, subject to audit. Motion carried. We received a $700 donation from Jack Dowler from his book royalties.
President Report: Chapter dues of $40 are payable at this time thru March 2023.
It was reiterated that members may take part in all events at the gun Bash except the 50/50.
The 2023 Memorial Day run will leave from Columbus and end at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton.
Vice-President Report: Wes Suladi: We received a thank you card from Claudia Casey and family, along with a check, in Remembrance of Claude, for $125. We received a $500 donation from Mid-Ohio Mopars, a card from Mission Barbecue congratulating Jim Jarrett on receiving the Ron Mani Award, a thank you from Pegasus Military Family Center, New Freedom Farms, The Woody Williams Foundation, Firestone VFW 3383, and the Keith Nepsa Memorial Scholarship. We also received a thank you for the Giant Eagle gift cards from the VSC of Ashtabula, as well as several personal thank you’s from individual recipients. And last, but not least, a Christmas card from Stark State College.
COB Report:
Guests: We welcomed guest JP Reilly, our new State Liaison.
Bob presented Harold Fields with an award of appreciation for his 7 years of running the gun bash.

Events: Jerry and Sandy have purchased all the gifts for our adopted families.
Gun Bash: Kevin Ivey will be forming a committee to help with the duties of the gun bash. A motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by Paulette Pinczes to allocate $17,500 seed money. Motion carried.

New Business
A motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by Jim Jarrett that we create a Care Package Fund and that we allocate $1000 to that fund, which will, when added to the $1000 we allocated at the November 2022 meeting, will leave a balance of $2000. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by Paulette Pinczes that we donate $1000 to Hero’s Honored, Inc. for the POW/MIA memorial at the Veterans Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Canton, OH. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Jim Jarrett and 2nd by Pat McPherson to approve an expenditure of $400 for POW/MIA flags. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Jennifer Flecksteiner and 2nd by James Pierse to give Kelly Keener $300 for toy soldiers. Motion carried.

The next spaghetti dinner will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 5:00 -7:00.
