President Bob Fankhauser called the July 9, 2023 meeting to order.
The minutes from the June 4, 2023 meeting were approved as read by Carolyn Clement.
Treasurer’s report was read by Nancy Beisler. A motion was made by Dave Noaker and 2nd by Judi Willgues to accept the report, subject to audit. Motion carried.
Guest Speaker: We welcomed our current Stark State Scholarship recipient, James Allen, who filled us in on his scholastic endeavors. He was very grateful for our help and we were honored to meet him.
President Report: Bob. The VFW corn roast will be held on Saturday, August 19 from 1:00 until 6:00. Cost is $5 for all you can eat corn. Other foods will be available to purchase. Oppie, Sandy, and Liggett will be attending bar.
Vetfest is August 26th.
Vice-President Report: Wes read thank you’s from Eric Garrett and Donna Smith’s son and daughter-in-law Shaun and Kelly.

Adopt a Family Project: Darlene and Kolleen: If anyone knows of a veteran or veteran family member in need, let Darlene or Kolleen know. Also, contact Harold Fields if you know of a veteran who needs a lift chair or other items.

Saturday, August 5th Chair of Honor dedication at Plain Township Veteran Memorial Park, 1742 Schneider St NE, Canton, Ohio 44721 at 11:00 am.

Midvale extended their thanks for the Flags at Midvale Speedway.
