President Bob Fankhauser called the March 3, 2024 meeting to order.
The minutes from the February 4, 2024 meeting were read by Carolyn Clement. A motion was made by Dave Noaker and 2nd by Harold Murray to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was read by Nancy Beisler. A motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by Paulette Pinczes to accept the February report, subject to audit. Motion carried.

President Report Old Business: Bob informed us that we will be visiting Veterans every other Tuesday at 9:00 am at Rose Lane Nursing Home, located at 5425 High Mill Ave, Massillon, Oh 44646. The month of March we will visit on the 5th and the 19th
Vice-President Report: Wes. We received a thank you card, from the Summit County VSC, for the gift cards which they distributed to the 2023 Toy Drive, a USN Veteran for gift cards received from the Portage County VSC, A thank you letter from the SAM Center, and a thank you card from Pat McPherson & family included with a $250 donation which will be deposited to our Stark State Endowment Fund. Also, Kevin Ivey received a card from Pat McPherson and family, expressing their appreciation of his contribution to the Celebration of Life for Jim Sheets, along with a donation of $100 which will be deposited to our Stark State Endowment Fund.

Gun Bash: Kevin Ivey. Kevin distributed the Gun Bash Tickets and reminded us to bring our tickets to the Piston Powered Show.
Wellness committee: Kevin Ivey.
Adopt a Family Project: Kolleen and Darlene.
Color Guard: Chris Duncan. Practices will be held every Sunday at 4:00 pm., except on meeting days.
Scholarship Endowment: Janet White. Current balance is $91,856.00
Suicide Prevention & Military Families: Moe & Susan.
Quarter Master: Tim Hess.
50/50: won by Gerry Beisler, who donated his winnings of $23 to the Ron Mani account. The remaining $22 will be deposited to events.
NEW BUSINESS
VFW spaghetti dinner March 8th from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
VFW Hamburger Supper March 15th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. $6.00 for a ½ pounder.
Saturday, March 23rd at 1:00pm sharp we will be dedicating a Chair of Honor at the SAM Center located at 8101 Manchester Rd, Canal Fulton.
A motion was made by Pat McPherson and 2nd by Jesse Alvarez to allocate $295 from the marketing account to print 500 “How to fly the American Flag” postcards. Motion carried.
Out next Board meeting is April 14th at 11:00 and General Meeting at 1:00.
There being no further business to come before the chapter, a motion was made by Donna Smith and 2nd by Jesse Alvarez to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
