President Bob Fankhauser called the August 4, 2024 meeting to order.
The minutes from the July 7, 2024 meeting were read by Carolyn Clement. A motion was made by Dave Noaker, and 2nd by Merry Ingraldi to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report for the month of July, 2024 was read by Nancy Beisler. A motion was made by Janet White and 2nd by JoAnn Suladie to accept the treasurers report, subject to audit. Motion carried.

The meeting was turned over to Dave Noaker to conduct the second and final set of nominations. The following members were nominated.
Vice President: Wes Suladie. A unanimous ballot was cast.
Chairman of the Board: Jim Smith. A unanimous ballot was cast.
Treasurer: Nancy Beisler. A unanimous ballot was cast

Presidents Report:
We will be visiting with Veterans at Rose Lane Nursing Home on Tuesday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 20th. Located at 5425 High Mill Ave, Massillon, OH 44646.
A sign-up sheet was passed around for The Silent Watch at Belden Village which will be held on September 28th from 11:00am until 5:00pm. This is a dress code event.
Starting on Fridays in September from 5:00 to 7:00 the VFW will have the following:
1st Friday, Fish Fry
2nd Friday, Spaghetti Dinner
3rd Friday, Hamburgers

Scholarship Endowment: Janet White: Current balance is $91,830. We have awarded approximately $9,200 in scholarships. Our chapter will be transferring $1585 to our Stark State Scholarship in memory of Bud Clement. These funds were donated to our chapter by friends and family of Bud.

New Business
A motion was made by Janet White and 2nd by Jesse Alvarez to increase the amount of money spent on Veterans from $500 to $750 per incident. Motion carried. This change will be reflected in our Standard Operating Procedures.

Saturday, August 17th: VFW Corn roast, 1:00 – 6:00. $5.00 for all you can eat corn. Hamburgers and hotdogs available for additional cost. Carolyn Liggett, Mark Lacey, Merry Ingraldi will be attending bar this year.
Sunday, August 18th. Piston Prop Show. 10:00am – 5:00pm. Akron Fulton Airport. Meet at the Gala Commons on 224, departing at 10:30. Dress Code. See Website.
Thursday, August 22nd. Wayne County Resource Fair. See Website.
Saturday, August 31st: Keith Nepsa Ride for Pride in New Philly. Registration 9-11AM. Pancake breakfast during registration. RT Chapter 2 members free. See Website
Saturday, September 14th. Stinger HD 10th Anniversary. 5:00PM. We will have a table to sell gun bash tickets.
